"I've been photographing the Nichols staff for over the last 20 years," said Huntington. "But what makes Nichols unique is not just the way it looks, but the way it moves. There's a kind of ballet here, with a team of sales people gliding their customers in and out of basements and attics and warehouses to find just the right thing they came in for. We're here to capture this movement, this action, for all time."

The Nichols Hardware Store Documentary Premier
On May 14, 2011 The Last Hardware Store had its premier screening at the historic Bush Tabernacle in Purcellville, Virginia. The premier was the last event of the Purcellville Virginia Heritage Day celebrations. Every chair in the hall was taken. over 40 members of the Nichols family where there as was former Secretary of State Madeline Albright who was featured as a Nichols' customer in the film. As the film finished, the documentary and the Nichols family received a standing ovation.

The Lincoln Studios is still looking for sponsors who can help cover some of the post production costs that include final color and audio editing. The Lincoln Studios team has not received any compensation for this project, but there are these other costs that need to be covered.
